Sturdy Loft Bed Ladder
The customer needed an affordable ladder to match an existing bed that could withstand the demands of young children. Solution: We chose Douglas fir, inset the rungs into the stiles, and secured them with glue and wood screws concealed behind wooden caps.

Screen Door
The customer wanted a screen door that would maximize air flow, keep her adventurous beagle from escaping, and include elements of the diamond pattern in her front door. Solution: A single large screen panel for ample fresh air, self closing hinges, and and a bottom panel of tongue and groove boards set at an angle. For durability, the frame was constructed with lap joints and full-length dominoes. The door was protected with two coats of exterior polyurethane.

Bathroom Storage
The customer requested a small over-the-toilet open shelf with a towel bar to match an existing oak vanity. Solution: This simple shelf is based on a classic tea rack design that evokes memories of your grandmother's house. Stopped dadoes conceal the front edge of the joint line created by the shelves.

Gift Box for Vinegar Bottle
The customer needed a spin on the typical gift box to house homemade vinegar. Inspired by Marc Spagnuolo (www.woodwhisperer.com) who was inspired by a Japanese toolbox design, I made a slimmer version of Marc's wine box for the customer's narrow vinegar bottle.
